GAANSHALA

GAANSHALA, a music concern established by EKNC, strives to create a platform where contemporary Bangla Music can thrive. It is the culmination of the collective efforts of dreamers who have aspired to bring together inspiring artists from Bangladesh. Enamul Karim Nirjhar, an architect and filmmaker, has been driven by the vision of unity, which served as the foundation for the inception of GAANSHALA.

The journey of GAANSHALA represents a passionate endeavor to foster unity, friendship, and harmony through music. It serves as a beacon of hope, symbolizing the power of togetherness. The inception of GAANSHALA began with EK NIRJHARer GAAN 001 in 2015, marking the first step towards this vision. This musical venture aimed to enrich contemporary Bangla Music by blending melodies from the soil of Bengal with sounds from around the world, creating a never-before-seen musical experience.

As hopes never diminish, GAANSHALA continues to strive towards its mission, hand in hand with everyone involved, to open up new horizons in contemporary Bangla Music. The ultimate goal is to create a bold and innovative landscape for Bangla Music, driven by the love and support of the audience. GAANSHALA stands as a testament to the belief that music has the power to unite, inspire, and transcend boundaries, fostering a vibrant and thriving music community.

EKNC has a vision to establish a collaborative organization that brings together creative professionals and independent thinkers from across the country. Through discussions, interactions, and collaborations with individuals in the industry, EKNC has recognized the challenges faced by those who are not yet widely recognized, subjecting them to disrespect and neglect in their work.

With the advent of technology and the prevalence of free music consumption, the future of artists, craftsmen, and related individuals has become uncertain and disheartening. EKNC feels a deep sense of responsibility in addressing this issue, which is why they are actively involved in the music industry. By employing the principles of Intellectual Social Responsibility (ISR) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), EKNC aims to support musicians through their intellectual practice of songwriting and composition.

Efforts are underway to establish a specific process that can empower artists by producing a large number of original Bengali songs and providing them with financial incentives. This endeavor will initiate a sustainable process where artists can thrive. Over time, this process will evolve into a self-sustaining organization. EK NIRJHAR ER GAAN represents a step in this direction, as it serves as a process and a platform for producing original music.

The ultimate dream is for GAANSHALA, the institution of original music production, to become a space where all artists can come together and collaborate. This vision aspires to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for artists, promoting their work and ensuring their sustainability in the ever-changing music industry.
